MEETS / RENEE RAE
I’m a 27-year-old self-taught photographer from Far Northern NSW, Australia. I have a love of capturing simple, natural moments in travel, interior design, architecture and nature and I’m also about to become a new mother.
Before becoming pregnant, I would love to make coffee at home and take my time to enjoy it slowly, first thing in the morning. Since I haven’t been able to stomach coffee, my current daily ritual involves making a hearty breakfast to start the day. I also love to end the day with a walk on the beach close to home.
I’m excited and anxious all in one. I’m looking forward to riding the motions of motherhood and feel as though the best times are coming for our little family.
In Situ Studio is a collaborative effort with my partner. It’s a continuation of our personal style and a way for us to showcase unique design, experiences and honest aesthetics through our photography.
I love the freedom of creating and manifesting my own schedule. I find great joy in sharing the way I view things through imagery and I hope it encourages others to find the simple beauty in their daily life.
I’m constantly finding inspiration in natural textures and elements and I’m drawn to still, quiet scenes in whatever environment I’m in.
My favourite artists are those who follow their intuition and stay true to sharing what they love.
I’m looking forward to reading 'The First Forty Days - The Essential Art of Nourishing the New Mother,' by Heng Ou in the coming months. I also watched and really enjoyed ‘Green Book’ recently.
I look for timeless staple pieces - easy-to-wear styles made from natural fabrics are the most important for me!
